Homelessness in our community

Most of us are lucky enough to own our home, or enjoy a safe and secure roof over our heads. Unfortunately this isn't the case for everyone in our community.

No two people experience homelessness the same. Significant life changes, a health crisis or loss of income could put any of us in a place where suddenly and unexpectedly we don’t have a place to call home. Just as those circumstances are unique, so are the temporary and permanent solutions to helping individuals get back on their feet in the short and long term.

Permanent Supportive Housing is a solution to homelessness and is community building at its best. It gives individuals a safe and welcoming place to call their own. Equally important, it allows residents the time, space and professional support they need to focus on their health and become active and contributing members of our society.

Our community has the plan to solve homelessness. From donations to conversations, everyone can play a role.

Can I ask you for five minutes to read this blog about the work and how Permanent Supportive Housing is the Right Solution. And, to learn more, visit HomeForGoodGW.ca.
